    I know its anise flavored but reminds me so much of licorice since they are similar in smell and flavor. Has a strong flavor to the smoke that lasts throughout the duration of the burn. The flavor also seems to increase as you go along. It’s a pleasant smoke and as i slow smoke, it’s not a quick smoke, took about half an hour or so. Had 2 so far and while the draw was a bit stiff it lossened up without much effort. it’s funny, i hate licorice but the flavor is good with dry cured tobacco. I’d buy it again. this is the second type of cigar i’ve purchased from Avanti. Happy with both. Have never failed to finish one.

    This is my go to cigar. Always a treat, very tasty, mild-medium w/that nice Anisette flavor & aroma. I’ve smoked some of the best premium cigars & belong to a cigar club that meets once a month. The Avanti’s are unique and very special. Being made from all American Tobacco is a definite plus. I can keep these in my Jaguar & not worry about them drying out. Don’t hesitate! Buy them you won’t be disappointed.

    MY FAVORITE CIGAR BEEN SMOKING AVANTI SINCE THE 60S I USED TO BUY 1 TO TWO HUNDRED EACH ORDER. MY LAST TWO ORDERS OUT OF THE LARGE ORDER I WOULD LOSE ABOUT 15 CIGARS DUE TO THE INCONSTANT BARREL SIZE MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DRAW. I LOVE THIS CIGAR WHEN ITS LIKE THE WEB PICTURE SIZE.

    I Have been smoking these sense the early 90s.. i have noticed quility has fallen in the past few years..Never the less this is my cigar.. Anyone that knows me knows that smell of my avanti… My daughter is in the Navy serving aboard the USS Mercy during these trying times.. Her Recent package she requested some cigars for her and her friends during there down time they can go on deck to have a smoke… so she got 5 boxes of Avanti’s in that package..

    I really like this cigar but I Have noticed a quality issue. 1 out of 8 or 10 cigars has a very difficult draw.i have to work too hard to inhale and this gets to be a pain. Usually when that happens I don’t finish the cigar and throw it out.
    It is still my preferred cigar.

    I worked with a man in a monastery kitchen who smoked these in the 1970s. I was in high school. 4 years ago I started smoking cigars. I came upon they Avanti Annisette it took me back to the 70s and I am back cooking in that monastery kitchen after 40 years.

    I was treated to Parodi flavored cigars in my younger days. Enjoyed a decent 20 min. smoke with my Dad. The Avanti anisette brought back special memories. Had my 1st paired with a snort of Carmenere, a fine red wine. Excellent on the taste buds!

    Probably started smoking Avanti Anisette flavored cigars about 1977. Over the years I’ve had cigars that plugged up, cigars poorly wrapped, cigars with holes in the outer leaf or actually half broken. Once I even saved up about 20 to 30 cigars that were disappointing for these defects and sent them back with a note expressing my frustration. Within a reasonable amount of time, I received replacement cigars with a note of apology. Most Avantis since then have been just fine, only a few un-smokables every now and then. The flavor never disappoints, and the scent gets favorable comments all the time. I’m a faithful customer for the past 45 years or so, and continuing into the future.

    First time I ever smelled the anisette flavored ones. I was sitting in a bar. This guy next to me was smoking one. I had to ask him what it was. After that. I liked them. They have a unique flavor & taste. I Never taste the tar at the end.

    there are few traditions left in America for the average person to enjoy …….this is one that endures despite the designs of certain people…….. Avanti is the same as it always was , US sourced tobacco is important to me , some are rolled too tight , but thats easy to fix …….i do miss the old packaging …….i will continue to enjoy these for as long as they are available….i would like to think for generations to come…….

    I have ordered several boxes of the Anisette flavored, and I would add I’ve been smoking these for years and always very happy, but the last 2 purchases the flavor has changed, a lot more tobacco and a lot less anisette flavor. I cant force myself to smoke them now.
    The question is, has something permanently changed, or is this an aberration? Help

    Avanti Cordials Licorice are my favorite. I’ve smoked them for years. They are mild and have a licorice aromatic sent that people don’t mind. They also make the perfect Christmas gift
